US Aggregates Rockstar: David Carter

Growing up around his family’s concrete block business, Leadman David Carter, is very familiar with the aggregate industry. Now, after being at the Francesville, IN plant for more than seven years, he has earned the trust and respect of his managers and team members.  

On a day-to-day basis, David assists with ordering parts, talking to venders, and servicing equipment when needed. “He pretty much does it all,” Mike Wash, Plant Manager, said. “He is a great asset to the company.” 

As leadman, David is responsible for helping manage his team. Over the past seven years, David has seen the plant grow and tries to lead his new and longtime crew members by example. “I try to ask my team if they want to do something instead of just telling them to do it,” David said. David’s leadership abilities do not go unnoticed by his plant manager. Mike highlighted how much he values having a crew member like David on his team and appreciates his dedication to the role. “He takes the duties of being a leadman very seriously,” Mike said. “He does a great job with it and all the guys respect him.” 

After work, David enjoys fishing, hunting, and playing with his two lab puppies.
