Welcome to our newly developed Deer Creek plant! This is officially the largest capital project for US Aggregates and the first plant to be built brand new from the ground up. Special thanks to our performance, engineering and Deer Creek stone quarry team for their hard work throughout this massive project. Not only did they make history, but they will also have a huge impact on our business development and plant production. We would also like to take a moment to acknowledge our collaboration with Kemper Equipment, MP Baker, Cash Concrete, Turner Contracting and Duke Energy in getting the plant up and running.

The project started last fall and is on track to commence operations by June 14, with a focus on working through automation. This plant has two unique features: comprehensive dust control hoses and the largest horizontal impact crusher ever installed at US Aggregates. The significance of the dust control hose system lies in its environmentally friendly nature, reflecting our commitment to sustainable practices.

One of the most exciting aspects of our new plant is the cutting-edge equipment that enables us to take control of our production destiny. Notably, the installation of this equipment allows us to move away from reliance renting contractors’ equipment. With this new setup, we are empowered to manage our production with confidence and efficiency. This represents a significant milestone for us, as it marks a new era of self-sufficiency and reliability, setting the stage for continued success and growth. We are thrilled to celebrate this achievement and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our operations and the environment.

Deer Creek quarry offers specialty products like scrubber stone, used by Duke Energy, high calcium chemical stone that is used in industrial minerals and a dark red clay derived from the area’s overburden that is utilized by the General Shale Brick company. Stay tuned for the exciting development and growth that is set to take place at US Aggregates’ newest plant, Deer Creek!
