Community Involvement

The Warming Tree is one of US Aggregates’ favorite annual traditions. Started by our very own plant clerk Kim Payne nearly a decade ago, our Monon/Francesville quarries have been keeping families in our local communities warm during the cold winter months.

Every year, a tree is placed in the Monon scale house. The tree is rapidly adorned with ornaments consisting of winter hats, gloves, socks, scarves, coats and more. These donations are generously provided by fellow members of our community and go towards local schools, churches and service organizations that distribute the clothing items to families in need.
