About This Location

The Delphi Quarry was purchased by US Aggregates in 1993. Since then, there have been significant investments made to increase the operation’s efficiency and productivity while enhancing its safety and quality measures. The quarry produces numerous high-quality materials, including limestone that is favored throughout the state of Indiana and beyond. Additionally, Delphi Quarry has undertaken numerous projects and partnerships with local associations to improve the community and landscapes in the region. One notable example is their collaboration with the Wabash-Erie Canal Association, beginning in 1994, which restored an over two-mile section of the 1850’s era Wabash-Erie Canal. The project successfully constructed the means necessary to divert three million gallons of water per day from the quarry, into the Canal, then back into the Wabash River. This transformed the land, adding a park, trails, etc. The quarry’s lake offers a place for water rescue teams to practice while its freshwater pond serves as the local fire department’s primary water source. Furthermore, the operation is a learning ground for schools and universities, is actively a part of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and continuously donates funds, product, and volunteer hours to local causes and events.
